This week, a knead-to-know fact for anyone who makes their own bread




OUR FEATURE

 

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a great flour improver. When added to small mixes and bread making machines it can really improve the quality of the bread. If you can’t get the powdered stuff, buy unflavoured tablets from the chemist and just break them down with a rolling pin. You can’t overdose on vitamin C so you don't have to worry about exact quantities.
