ABOUT OUR CHEF

Young Scottish chef, Eadie Manson, 25, dropped out of university, where he was studying geography, and took a job as a Commis chef.

He proved to have a natural aptitude for cooking, and soon afterwards, Eadie enrolled on a hospitality course at Glenrothes College. In his first year Eadie won Scotland and Ireland Young Chef of the Year. Inspired, he joined the Scottish Junior Culinary team and was part of the team that won the world Championships at Expogast 2002.

Eadie began working as a Commis chef at The Seafood Restaurant, a 3-rosette restaurant in St Monans, and worked his way up to Chef de Partie. He left to join Adam Smith College where he caters for external events and lectures. In 2006, Eadie mentored three catering students to first place in the UK Student Chef Team Challenge.

His first TV appearance was on UKTV’s Great Food Live. His mother wrote to the show on his behalf and he became a regular contributor. Eadie appears regularly on Daily Cooks and gets quite a bit of fan mail from his female admirers!
